NCRAC

The North Central Regional Aquaculture Center (NCRAC) is a USDA-NIFA supported program that brings together industry, scientists and extension to improve aquaculture in the North Central United States. In addition to helping build partnerships, the center funds applied research and extension projects on a variety of topics including, and not limited to, fish health, production efficiency, market access.

Why U.S.
Aquaculture Matters

Responsible aquaculture reduces harvest pressure on wild fisheries, keeps supply chains local and transparent, and expands access to healthy, nutrient rich fish. The USDA Regional Aquaculture Centers work to support the United States aquaculture industry, helping build resilient food systems, protect wild stocks, and create opportunities for a wide range of local communities.
